Resources for Education

Students striving to learn new information about different spheres of life, enlarge their knowledge upon a particular subject are constantly involved in the process of seeking new sources of education.

I am predominantly interested in studying foreign languages so I have already found some sources helping me to improve my skills. For me it is really difficult to perceive information by ear so I try to listen to native speakers' speech more and TED talks help me in this task.

TED is an abbreviation which means "technology, entertainment, design". It is a YouTube channel where you can find thousands of lectures connected to various aspects of life, fields of science.  Everyone who visits TED definitely finds a lot of new helpful information for oneself and, of course, practices one's English. What I find very useful about TED is that not only Brittish English speakers give talks there but also people that possess other variants of the English language, e.g. American English, Indian English, etc. Listening to people speaking with the accent helps me to get used to varieties of the language. It is worth mentioning that there are subtitles in more than 100 languages for each lecture which provide people, who do not have an interest in linguistics, with the opportunity to understand everything the speaker says.

To sum up, TED is one of the sources that suits both people studying English and those who wants improve their knowledge of different subjects without focusing on the foreign language.
